Youtube, the worlds most popular video sharing site, recieved a killer update today which allows a significantly greater degree of user customization and even some slick Google + integration. However, jsut like the new facebook timelines, it isnt live on the new site unless you do a little tweaking. Don's worry too much, its super easy, and here is how to do it (in Firefox and Chrome anyways):
In Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + K (Win) | Cmd + Shift + K (Mac)
In Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + J (Win) | or Cmd + Alt + J (Mac)
Then add this string of code to the developer console: document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU"; -- now close your development tools and refresh, zing!!. Now you will see the new main page the folks at Google/YouTube have built for us. Not to bad at all we would say, and a marked improvement o nthe mess that was the old YouTube.
