VISUAL IDENTITY | MARKETING STRATEGY | WEBSITE DESIGN
Full brand evolution, marketing strategy, and website for one of Saskatoon’s top real estate agents.
Kevin Appl Real Estate is a growing real estate business built around approachability, clarity, and long-term relationships. As Kevin transitioned from eXp Realty to REAL Brokerage with plans to grow a team of agents under his leadership, he needed an identity system that could scale with him, support recruitment, and more accurately reflect who he is.
The challenge :
At face value, the project called for a logo update and a website that aligned with REAL Brokerage. But beneath that was a larger opportunity: to create a recognizable, usable brand system that felt human, confident, and unmistakably Kevin, without relying on classic real estate clichés.
The work also needed to operate within specific constraints. The identity had to live alongside REAL Brokerage’s branding, and any language or visual references to “Appl” had to avoid direct Apple-related wordplay for legal reasons.
The approach :
Rather than defaulting to the ultra-masculine, cold aesthetic common in real estate branding, we focused on what actually defines Kevin: he is welcoming, personable, funny, and slightly quirky. The strategy centered on building a brand that mirrors the experience of working with him; clear, warm, and easy to engage with.
The refreshed logo system prioritizes clarity and flexibility. Two red dots – subtly inspired by Kevin and his wife Amber, who work together in the business – became a defining element of the identity. These dots evolved into a circular motif used throughout the brand, appearing as graphic accents, image frames, and background elements across digital and print applications.
The website :
The website was designed with both clients and prospective agents in mind. Navigation and content structure were simplified to make information easy to find, while dedicated pathways support Kevin’s goal of growing his team within REAL Brokerage. The design carries the identity through with consistency, using colour and shape to guide the user experience and reinforce brand recognition.
The outcome :
Kevin left the project with a complete, usable system—not just individual assets. With a clear brand guide, messaging framework, and marketing strategy in place, his team can now confidently create banners, social content, and promotional materials in-house without sacrificing consistency or quality.
The brand has since been deployed across digital channels, creating a cohesive, recognizable presence that feels both professional and genuinely human. For us, the success of the project is in its adoption: seeing the client use the work thoughtfully and effectively in the real world.
